After months of clowing about doing nothing, the FAI’s three man team has finally got someone for the job.
This man. (famous newsroom outburst video)
Lets hope he carries that passion in to the Ireland job - the Irish players won’t know what hit them!

Newcastle legend Kevin Keegan has just been re-appointed as Newcastle manager, days after Big Sam was sacked.
It will all end in tears!

Newcastle boss Sam Allardyce has just been sacked by the Toon Army.

Can’t say it wasn’t coming, with a string of poor results, but you get the impression Newcastle want to challenge Utd and Chelsea NOW, when in reality that’s a far off dream as they just don’t have the players.
As for Sam, he wants to get back into management and would be an ideal candidate for the vacant Irish manager’s position.

Rafa has guided Liverpool to the Champions League twice and won it once.

Apart from that, he’s done nothing to improve Liverpool in the league and their inability to put together any sort of a winning run is going to see them fight it out for 3rd or 4th placeĀ - yet again….
They’ve scraped through the Champions League group stages this season and should they end up with nothing, he’ll be out on his ear and rightly so. Liverpool should be challenging for the league first and foremost.
You get the impressions Benetiz is only in the job because he’s the man that won the Champions League. A lucky manager? His luck can only last so long.

Turns out Fabio Capello is the new England manager.

This is the same guy who left David Beckham out at Real Madrid, so i’m sure Becks isn’t too happy
He also had a bust up with 2 Italian pin up boys - Totti and Del Piero, so he’s not a respected man in Italy and has a history of explosive departures.
I don’t think he knows what he’s getting himself in to with England

A couple of weeks ago, we blogged about how Steve McClaren’s neck was very much on the line.

Yesterday, he was officially sacked and England are now on the hunt for a new manager. It’s not a surprise. Mc Claren was a spare part left over from the Sven Goren Erickson era and now England can get a new style of manager and inject some new ideas and energy.
So with England and Ireland both now looking for new men, it could come down to a tug of war between the two. The FA have the cash, but England manager is probably the worst managerial job there is due to all the hype and pressure.

This weekend, England could go crashing out of Euro 2008 contention if Russia get a win against Israel.
It’s out of England’s hands… and should Russia get the win they need, all eyes will turn to Steve McClaren (current boss).
Is he a ‘Dead Manager Walking’?
Well if the media and fans had their way, i’d say yes. Watch this space.

According to skysports:
“Wigan chairman Dave Whelan has revealed he is in talks with a mystery candidate to take the vacant manager’s job at The JJB Stadium.”
Wigan are currently 2nd from bottom in the premierleague with 13 games played and 8 points on the board.
Favourite for the job is Joe Royle (ex-Man City & Everton) but no matter who takes over, they’ll have a hard time rescuing Wigan from the drop
